At the SAP Forum 09 held on December 08, 2009 at Ankara, STM Corporate Information Management Department Director and ERP Project Manager Hayrullah KALE presented STM’s ERP Project as a success story.

Giving importance to real-time access to accurate information in order to get a competitive advantage in today’s economic globalization environment, a year ago STM started working on an ERP Project that would be integrated with STM’s existing corporate applications, in order to meet its corporate resource planning and information management needs.

As a result of project works undertaken for about a year by a project team composed of STM’s staff members and the specialized team of a consultancy firm, the Project was completed successfully, and STM’s budgeting, accounting, finance and procurement processes were transferred onto electronic environment.

With the completion of this Project, which was the last step of the corporate e-transformation program of the company, STM reached its goal of carrying out all its corporate processes on electronic environment and with electronic signature.

The main factor that made this Project a “success story” was the combination of STM’s experience in consultancy and software development with the SAP expertise of the consultancy firm.
