STM Signs Cyber Security Agreement with Pakistan

STM and Air University have signed a Document of Understanding (DoU) paving the way for collaboration in the field of cyber security and informatics. The DoU was inked at a ceremony on the sidelines of IDEAS 2018, being held on November 27–30 in Karachi, Pakistan, attended by Mustafa Murat Şeker, Vice President of Defence Industries (SSB); Murat İkinci, General Manager of STM; Air Vice Marshal Faaiz Amir, Vice Chancellor, Air University, and many other officials.

Under the agreement, STM will host tailored training and internship programmes on cyber security and informatics for the students and faculty members of Pakistan Air University; will organise international conferences and workshops; and will provide consultancy to research projects conducted as part of master’s programmes. The University’s input will be the provision of support for the necessary infrastructure works required for the establishment of a National Centre of Cyber Security (NCCS). STM will thus contribute to the enhancement of the cyber security competencies of Pakistan Air University, which has been given the responsibility for the development of Pakistan’s cyber security strategies and the establishment of the Pakistan NCCS.
