Pakistan MILGEM Main Propulsion System Procurement Project
A contract was signed on June 16, 2020, for the procurement and integration of the Main Propulsion System (MPS) for four MILGEM-class vessels to be constructed for Pakistan by ASFAT A.Ş.
Under the project, the first and third ships will be built at the Istanbul Naval Shipyard Command, while the second and fourth ships will be constructed at the KS&EW shipyard located in Karachi.
The scope of the project includes the procurement and integration of the Main Propulsion System for all four MILGEM-class vessels. The system-to-system integration and system-to-ship integration of the procured components will be carried out by STM as part of its Integration Engineering services.
As part of the project’s logistics activities, training programs will be provided for ship personnel, covering user-level operations as well as maintenance and repair procedures for all four ships under the contract.
