Multi-Role Support Ship
(MRSS)
Multi-Role Support Ship (MRSS) is a stealth amphibious assault and multi-purpose support vessel. This ship is designed to embark, transport, and land units of a Rapid Deployment Force (RDF) battalion, along with their equipment and heavy and light vehicles, for expeditionary warfare missions. Additionally, it provides logistical support to naval platforms at sea under heavy sea and weather conditions during peace and wartime.
The MRSS is designed and to be constructed in compliance with universally recognized naval norms and standards. The vessel has a well dock capacity for 2 x 36 meter-long LCU (Landing Craft Utility) and/or smaller size LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel) type landing craft.
