Auxiliary Oiler Replenisher and Logistics Ship (AOR+), (Navio Reabastecedor de Esquadra e Logístico (NRE+)) is a multi-function joint support ship designed as a monohull displacement vessel with double-hull structure for providing logistic support to naval platforms at sea in terms of both dry and liquid cargo during peace and wartime.
Designed to best meet the strategic goals and operational requirements of the Portuguese Navy, the ships will feature a unique design capable of executing joint force projection, amphibious operations, and replenishment at-sea functions.
Compared to their counterparts, the ships will offer higher speed and cargo capacity while providing logistics support and command-and-control capabilities for joint operations.
Equipped with Integrated Communication System (ICS), the ships will enable fleet coordination through advanced command-and-control capabilities.
The ships will feature configurations of sensor and weapon systems tailored for all principal types of warfare, with a focus on Anti-Air Warfare (AAW).
Complying with worldwide recognized naval norms/standards, the platform is equipped with Diesel-CPP Propulsion System with Electrical Motor (PTI/PTO).
